🎃 October Stall Decoration Contest 🐴

Get creative and help us bring some Halloween spirit to the barn! Throughout October, eligible RFEA members can decorate a horse stall of their choosing FREE OF CHARGE for our October Stall Decoration Contest.

Whether your style is spooky, cozy, creative, or completely over-the-top, we want to see what you come up with!

Celebrate the cozy side of fall with pumpkins, leaves, harvest décor, and seasonal spirit

For the most imaginative, original, or unexpected stall design

🐴 Best Horse-Themed
A stall that incorporates the horse's personality, name, interests, or equestrian theme in a fun and creative way!

📅 Contest Timeline

October 1: Decorating begins!
October 24: All stalls must be completed by the end of the day.
October 24 onward: Stall photos will be shared for community voting.
October 31: Winners will be announced during our RFEA Haunted Barn Bash! 🎃👻

First-place winners will receive small prizes, along with ribbons for first place and runners-up in each category.

🎃 Decorating Guidelines

Please keep decorations safe for horses, people, and the barn. Decorations should not interfere with stall doors, latches, aidles, or normal barn operations. Decorations must remain safely out of the horses reach and should not create opportunities for chewing, ingesting, pulling, or tangling.

• Prohibited Items
  • Nails, screws, permanent hardware, fire hazards, plug-in/electrical decorations, anything that could become an eating or choking hazard for the horses.
• Approved Decorations
  • Poster Board, wrapping paper, curtains, streamers, decorative signs, battery operated decor on non-flammable objects, and similar decor.
• Approved Temporary Attachment Methods
  • Zip ties, packaging tape, etc. Please ask Barn Management if an idea you have is OK.

RFEA reserves the right to require any decoration to be removed or modified if it presents a safety or horse-welfare concern.

🕸️ Help Decorate the Viewing Room!

Want to help transform the Viewing Room for Halloween, too? Sign up for our Viewing Room Decorating Committee when you register! Creative helpers are welcome. You will have the entire month to get together and decorate the interior and exterior of the Arena Viewing Room. Decoration plan must be submitted and approved by Barn Management to review safety. The exterior of the viewing room will become the backdrop for our Photos later in the month!

Enter your contestant name, and the preferred horses' stall or stall number under the Horse Name section of the entry. We will email a stall assignment chart to each contestant!
